Subject: Nicolette Larson - Poll
Written By: whistledog on 06/25/07 at 11:27 pm
I know she didn't have all that many hits, but what the heck ...
1979 - Lotta Love
1979 - Rhumba Girl
1980 - Let Me Go, Love <w/ Michael McDonald>
1982 - I Only Want to Be With You
Nicolette has a Canadian connection ... 'Lotta Love' was written by Neil Young and 'Rhumba Girl' was written by Jesse Winchester. She also appeared as a backing vocalist on Neil Young's 1978 hit 'Four Strong Winds'

Lotta Love.
Trivia: Nicolette sang backup on Van Halen's Woman And Children First album (sang one line of "Could this be magic?"). Eddie Van Halen also played guitar on "Can't get away from you"on Nicolette's first album.

I also only know Lotta Love...But what a great song...That song always reminds me of late nights laying in bed listening to the rain outside in the very late 1970's and early to mid 1980 for some reason...Its not that it only reminds me of that in general...It reminds me of specific nights...Though the reasons why it reminds me of them has long since gone from my memory.

"Lotta Love" from 1978/1979 for me too.
I was also surprised to find out 6 years ago that she had passed away back in December 1997.
