Hi Everyone!
I am looking for a '70's / disco' sounding song, but I need something that is instrumental. It would be nice if it was somewhat 'modern', but had the disco sound. I've been looking everywhere but can't seem to find anything. I need it for a dance troupe.
Any suggestions????

During the 70s when I was in dance, we did a jazz dance to Open Sesame from the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack and a dance on pointe to Liberation Ballet from the Wiz soundtrack.

Anything by Cerrone should do. The 17+ minute version of "Love In C Minor" is a largely instrumental track keeping a steady beat throughout.
Stuff by Alec R Costandinos or Boris Midney could easily fit a dance routine as well.
For a more contemporary disco sound try out Dave Lee/Joey Negro's 2 Sunburst Band albums

I'll chip in with Giorgio Moroder - Chase (12") - 8:16 - which wouldn't have sounded out of place on the 1977 Battlestar Galactica soundtrack. With the benefit of 30 years of hindsight, 70s disco. Without it, pretty "futuristic".
(Wonder whatever happened to the "Andromeda" band that played in the "Space Rockers" episode of the Buck Rogers TV series?)
