Subject: Lou Grant

Did anyone watch this show? I found it interesting that even though it was supposed to be the same character from the Mary Tyler Moore show, he was actually different-but what do expect going from a comedy to a drama series. I actually Lou Grant much better than Mary Tyler Moore.

I vaguely remember watching it as a kid but can't recall any episode storylines.

(Ed Asner won an Emmy for his role on Lou Grant, making him the only actor in television history to win Emmy's for playing the same character on both a comedy and a drama series!)

I loved this show. you're right they were like two completely different characters who "happened" to share the same name but both shows were excellent.

I vividly remember the episode in season 4 where Lynne Moody's character is raped.  It was very dramatic but done really well.

I tunes has seasons 1, 2 & 3 available but not season 4  >:(

I watched the reruns all the time when they aired in the 80s and even on A&E in the early 90s.  I thought that red head chick was hot

Funny you posted that ...

Emilio Delgado, who played Luis on Sesame Street, had a recurring role on Lou Grant as an editor
