Subject: Lieutenant Pigeon w/ Lyrics ?

Written By: whistledog on 08/18/08 at 12:40 pm

A guy I work with who hails from England tells me that 'Mouldy Old Dough' by Lieutenant Pigeon has lyrics, and that is the only version he knows.  I only know the Instrumental one.  Was there a Lyrical version that was also popular?

This is the one that I am familiar with:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3bFGfIAJRvo

If there is, I've certainly not heard of it!

That said, the bona fide version does have some 'lyrics'...about half a dozen of 'em!

Your friend who hails from England is talking sheeshe.  I live in England and listened to the tune in the 70's, own an original 45 and watched the band perform it live at a mad party somwwhere in Leicestershire years ago.  As the other person wrote, the only lyrics are Mouldy Old Dough.  Top tune
