I grew up with stuff like Mind Your Language, Are You Being Served, George&Mildred, The Flumps - oh and Playschool lol.

If we're going to go with British stuff, the only things I was aware of as a kid were Monty Python, The Goodies, and Fawlty Towers. There was also an Irish Comedy host by the name of Dave something or other that I used to like. Man that was a long time ago!
