A question with an ever changing answer

At the moment, it would be 'Sweet Misery' by Teaze, a c&w song by a rock group.  It was their lone hit single, yet interestingly enough, they went on to release 5 albums + 1 greatest hits collection.  It is a very fun song to sing along with

Where do I begin? There are thousands of songs.  Anyways, here are a few:

Bad Company - Rock Steady (1974)    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ggLpXgJJitI

Blondie - X-Offender (1976)  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZ6fpSdQQKc
Their best song IMO.

Bobby Goldsboro - Summer, The First Time (1973)  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYHEBa6Xx48

Dramatics - Get Up and Get Down (1972)    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVFlx1wlgQk
Amazing song that nobody knows.  Only one bad video available on youtube. What a shame.

Ellen Foley - We Belong To The Night (1979)    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BYvVEyM7wRA

Friends Of Distinction - Grazing In The Grass (1970)  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wxVLHaHUI4E

Glen Campbell - Everything A Man Could Ever Need (1970)  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l-OI4ljPM9s
I hate country music, but I love old-school Glen Campbell.

Harry Chapin - Taxi (1972)  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c5dwksSbD34
Makes "Cats In The Cradle" look like a joke.

Ian Gomm - Hold On (1978)  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vsulIg0sqY4

Jackie Moore - This Time Baby (1979)  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=koUAtkI2aB0&feature=related

Nick Drake - Road (1972)  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vx2Q-RwJyls
Its difficult to select only one Nick Drake song - very difficult.

Roxy Music - Mother Of Pearl (1973)  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKMMTp_qWNY

Sniff N Tears - Drivers Seat (1978)  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r9Q-fVHM2jg&feature=related

Steely Dan - Rose Darling (1975)  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6xUa5ZS65E
Great song from an oustanding album.

Crocodille Rock ~ Elton John

My Mom gave me her 45 of this song when I was 8 or 9 because I played it so much!  She gave it to me to start my collection of 45's that you put in those round carry cases with the handles-I ended up with 4 of them filled up!

Did you ever see the film?

I was not aware of...of this...film:

According to IMDb:

Laurie has been in show business since she was a child. Her dream is to be a singer, songwriter and actress. Her father wants her to be a comedian like him and Laurie only tries because it pleases her father. But she is a lousy comedian. She auditions for everything and is engaged to Ken, but Ken does not understand her needs. She has a one night stand with Chris, only to later find that he is a director. She has many emotions that have not yet been addressed and she must face them before she can get on with her life.

Trivia from IMDb:
All songs sung by Didi Conn in the movie were lip-synched. The actual singer on the soundtrack album was Kacey Cisyk (often misspelled as 'Cassie Cisyk') , who also appears in the film as a bridesmaid. Debby Boone covered the title track, and her version spent 10 weeks at #1 on the U.S. pop music charts in 1977.

I don't know anything about this guy Joseph Brooks.  I was under the misapprehension Pat Boone wrote the song as a pop Christian ode.  Did Joe Brooks write it as a religious song?
???

I always liked Summerbreeze, and Seals and Croft in general. There is also a Carpenter's song that always takes me back to Summer Camp as a kid, Yesterday Once More. Spinning Wheel, Wildfire, Afternoon Delight, Seasons in the Sun. Anything by Harry Chapin or Bill Croce.

Hi. Does anyone remember that song "Magic" by the group "Pilot"? That is a staple in my collection.
Yes, Magic came out in the spring of 1975.  This song sounds every bit as good today as it did in 1975.  Even my 12 year old twins love that song.  When I want to revisit the 1970's I just get into my 1972 Gran Torino, put on my 1970's playlist on my Pod And go for a drive.  The 70's were pure fun, and hold lots of great memories.  What a great time to live.

I rattled off a long list (back on page 1) ...but I also liked a lot of early 70's songs like...

The Last Song - Edward Bear
United We Stand - (very early Brotherhood of Man)
One - Three Dog Night
The Air That I Breathe - The Hollies
Sugar Baby Love - The Rubettes
Peace Train - Cat Stevens
Pretty much all Fleetwood Mac tunes in the 70's...

Peace Train - Cat Stevens

It always reminds me of the movie Remember The Titans. 8)

Can't recall the title but it starts with " Hello morning, Good good morning....". Anyone knows who sang it too. it's kinda mellow.
