...and which show he was part of....?
He also had a cute little assistant but I can't remember his name :P

I sure do remember him. Loved that cartoon when I was a kid. I liked how clyde would draw something on the chalkboard and it would come to life. I liked his assistant, too. His name was Leonardo and he never spoke. I believe the Clyde cartoons were part of the original "Alvin & the Chimpmunks Show".

I've seen "The Alvin Show" on the Nickelodeon in the 1990's and didn't like it... (liked the '80's incarnation, though not sure if I'd like it now)
He did appaer in a "Back to the Future" parody in the '80's incarnation of "Alvin & The Chipmunks".
