Subject: Men wearing poka dotted shirts!

Written By: Ryan112390 on 05/10/11 at 1:49 am

Dug these pictures of my step-grandpa out...They were taken in July 1972. He was 55. Was it common for guys in the early '70s to wear poka dotted shirts?
(You can see him in the background, wearing sunglasses in the first photo, and against the wall in the last):

Post any pix you got of guys in the '70s wearing poka dotted shirts, if you so please.

Men wore shirts with many different patterns during the 70's.  Polka dots were rather tame compared to some of the prints.

Ummmmmmmmm  NO!  There were some who would but I would say that not a whole lot of 55year old guys, not a whole lot of guys at all, wore polka dot shirts unless they were musicians or actors.

Yeah, my dad had a shirt (and matching tie) more like the pattern the lady is wearing in the top photo!
