Subject: Great, Lesser Known '70s Films (1970-1975)

Written By: Ryan112390 on 03/22/12 at 1:54 pm

Post here some really good, lesser known 70s films made between 1970 and 1975. I mean films in any genre that are good and lesser known and were produced between those years. Can be in any genre but specifically looking for Action, Science Fiction and Fantasy. I'm talking about films which capture the 70s in a way--where you can see some 70s fashions (think the long sideburn wearing officers in the 1977 Star Wars or Han and  Luke's hair dos in that film) along with untouched '70s special effects.

Panic at Needle Park, an early one for Al Pacino. It's well known in the film critic community but not as a whole.

Is it acceptable to add Big Wednesday starring Jan-Michael Vincent, William Katt and Gary Busbey ?  My friends and I loved this movie.  Jan-Michael was a big hit in Australia for quite a few years and because surfing is a big part of our culture we could very much relate to some of the themes in this show.  Also, when we grew up the Vietnam war affected a lot of our families so we got that part of the picture really easily.  :)
