He was not much of a singer no, but his ONJ duets were good because it was not just him

For it to be a #10 song, I can't say that I ever heard "Let Her In" on the radio in 1976.

I have a problem with JT singing from Grease because I was listening to the record from the play LONG before the movie ever came about. So, when I heard JT's rendition of Summer Nights I was like, 8-P .

That song is not bad. Was that an actual ode to Travolta or just the name John in general?

Not the greatest of singers (no, really!), but could just about get away with it...
The 'Grease' numbers are what he'll be forever remembered for in Britain (especially the duets, both of which nearly had a combined sale of over 2 million!)
The solo numbers sadly show off his limitations...good job he stuck with the acting!

John wasn't the only Travolta to have a singing career either. His older brother Joey was a one hit wonder in 1978 with a song called I Don't Wanna Go. It reached #43 in the USA and #47 in Canada

Oh no, it was definitely an ode to Travolta.
Teach In were getting rather desperate at that time. After winning the ESC in 1975 they had had only two more Top 10 hits in The Netherlands.

I voted for "Summer nights". If I had voted in 1979, I would have voted for "You're the one that I want".
