This is going to sound bad....but my first memory of a 'disco dance' song was Micheal Jacksons "off the wall"...first 'fast dance' with Maggie Wills in 6th grade..summer of 79. That's also when I found I loved 'roller disco' and Donna Summer came out with "Hot Stuff". Chic's "La Freak" was still hot. Spent my first 'teenage' summer skating at the local rink almost every night....with disco balls and 'slow skate'. What a great time that was...sneaking into the dark corners for a <gasp!> quick kiss....ah.....

Like a lot of us who spent their teens in the 70's, disco was a word better left unsaid.

Freddie Jackson has a song that has an intro that sounds a lot like this one.
I remember hearing the intro on the radio back in the '80s and early '90s, and always being disappointed when it turned out to be the Freddie Jackson song playing and not this one. Too much Freddie and not enough Stephanie, time to change the radio station.
