The "Three-Day Week" when several measures introduced in the United Kingdom by the Conservative Government to conserve electricity, the generation of which was severely restricted owing to industrial action by coal miners.

I guess I was still a sperm, even though I was born 25 years after 1974.

I became an Aston Villa supporter, the music was much better than it is now, Abba won Eurovision, West Germany won the World Cup, the Flixborough chemical plant exploded, the Court Line travel agency went into liquidation and I developed a teenage crush on someone I wish I hadn't!

Hmm, I was fourteen...    ::)

I remember a few things.  I remember Nixon resigning.  (He wasn't impeached - but could've been.)  I never liked Nixon, but his resignation made me sad.  It was a black eye on the presidency, which I held in high esteem until then.  I also remember it being fascinating that Gerald Ford became President - a man who was never voted for.  I liked him because he was from Michigan and I lived in Michigan.  At least we didn't get President Agnew!  ;D

I remember music in 1974 was awesome!  I could elaborate but don't want to write a book...    ;)

I was not born yet. My mom was 20 that year and my dad was 17.
