Hey...Does anyone still remember that song by FRIDA, "Something Going On"?  I think that song is so cool.  The lyrics are kinda lame and not very deep but I guess they cant all be as good as Duran.  

I think that FRIDA was part of ABBA back in the 70's.

Yes, Frida was part of ABBA.  I always loved that song too, particluarly the way it started out.  When I got Napster, that was one of the first songs I hunted down...

I also love this song! It's on the original VH1 Big '80s CD, I know because I have it. She came out with this song not long after ABBA broke up in the early '80s.

The other woman from ABBA, Agnetha, also tried a solo career, while the men wrote "Chess" with Tim Rice. In fact, they have a Broadway musical now, called "Mamma Mia!", which uses only ABBA songs.

ABBA is definitely one band who does not get much mention on this board, even though they stayed together into the '80s. They really paved the way for a lot of '80s pop. BTW, a lot of my favorite ABBA songs came from the '80s.

They certainly were much better than any "pop" act of today, considering they wrote, played, and sang their songs!

I still have Frida's Something Going On - the entire album.  I won it on the radio when I was a sweet young thang.

Great song, this. I have that same VH-1 Big 80s CD, Chris, and Frida's song is my favorite song on the CD!!!  :)
