Subject: 80's cereal

Written By: Steve on 01/12/02 at 12:09 a.m.

ok, when i was younger i remember this cereal.  I think it had to do with aliens or space guys or something.  It had marshmallows and the cereal might've started with an S.  I remember eating it all the time, but i dont remember the name.  Can anybody help?

You might be referring to Quisp cereal. Did the box have a picture of a one-eyed alien wearing a propellor beanie? If so, then it's defintiely Quisp, a personal fave of mine back in the day...  :)

Quisp is alive & well!  ;D

Although I don't believe it ever had marshmellows, so it might not be the one Steve is looking for.

You can still buy Quisp, although not in stores.  Just click www.quisp.com

I loved this cereal!

No prob!  ;D

I just learned of this about a month ago.  Watching an episode of "Unwrapped" on the Food Network about old favorites.  I was all excited and the wife had never heard of it.

It's amazing that as much as we have in common, sometimes the 2 year difference in age, and me growing up in Ohio/her in Arizona is almost like a generation gap.   :)

I think you can still get King Vitamin. But, if I'm not mistaken, they changed the old King illustration on the box to something more cartoony.
