Subject: Great "Distant" am stations

Written By: BostonFan76 on 02/02/02 at 02:13 p.m.

Did anyone ever hear of the Big89 am WLS-Chicago.  I used to listen to them a lot in the evenings from here in Colorado.  My girlfriend at the time live in Virginia and she picked them up as well.  It was nice to dedicate songs to her through Jeff Davis and John "Records" Landecker.  Check 70's message board for another great big powerhouse of a station!

I can still get it, but it's all talk. I wish I was around when "Musicradio" was still on the air. BTW, Styx was just a local Chicago band until WLS put them in heavy rotation.
