actually, mello yello and mr. pibb are still in existence.  a couple of years ago, i took a road trip to panama city and found mello yello at a gas station. :)  i was soooo happy because i LOVE mello yello (i'm easy to please, can't you tell?).  i was able to find mr. pibb there, too.  texas has a couple of cities that still carry one or the other.  they are very hard to find, though.:(

Mello Yello and Mr. Pibb aren't readily in supply in most parts o' the country?  I see them in convenience stores, fast food joints, etc. around Florida.

I like Mr. Pibb.  The 80's soda I don't see anymore is Nehi.  They had kooky-flavored sodas I hadn't seen before, like peach, strawberry, blueberry, etc.  Granted, some other brands like Stewart's has taken off with the off-kilter flavored sodas, but Nehi was it for me back in the early 80's.

There is no shortage of Mr. Pibb in the Houston area, it has always been easy to find.

I haven't seen mello yello in some time, but I haven't really looked for it.

And Nehi is still available down in Louisiana and Mississippi. I had the pleasure of trying the Peach and Strawberry flavors. Mmmmm..... :)

Mello Yello and Mr. Pibb are readily available here in West Virginia.  In fact, Mello Yello is my sister's favorite soft drink!  But one soda I miss from the 1980's is Rondo.  It was a citrus soda.
