I've been a pretty big H&O fan for over 20 years now. However, I never did get around to seeing them live back in the '80s, during my teen years. Therefore, I was quite pleased when the duo reunited in the late '90s, and when I found out they were holding an in-store signing in Manhattan the day their new Marigold Sky album was released back in the Fall of '97, I went to buy it, and then stood in line w/ a bunch of other fans to meet them. (I lived just outside of NYC at the time.) Got several items autographed by both, and had a couple minutes to briefly chat w/ them. Although it wasn't one of their biggest hits, 1982's "Your Imagination" has always been a personal fave of mine, so at that time I asked Daryl if they still performed that one in concert any more. He said no, but added that they would be taking requests from the audience during the shows on their soon-to-be-launched Marigold Sky tour that would be taking place during 1997-98. While it had already been my intention to try and finally catch them live on that tour when they came back to NYC, I thought that was cool, so I made sure I tracked their tour dates. Sure enough, they got a date at the Beacon Theater in early '98, and of course I went. It was a pretty good show, but I have to tell you, Daryl broke his promise to me - they didn't take requests from ANYONE that night... :(

You still owe me one, Daryl!!! :)
