Subject: The 80s in print

Written By: radical on 05/09/02 at 10:04 a.m.

I must confess to having an obsession with all things 80s, but particularly the music (perhaps because many of my friends in college happened to have the same obsession). Other than books about the pop charts (which generally focus on 50s, 60s, etc. as well) like Joel Whitburn's top 40 book, I haven't seen many books exclusively about the 80s. Has anyone read any that they would recommend? By the way, I actually wrote a humorous poem as a tribute to the 80s, which you can check out on my website. Thanks! :)

Well, if you're interested in trivia from the 80s, one of our own members, 80sTrivia, has put forth at least 3 books which are available at amazon.com, and is currently working on a fourth 80s book (non-trivia, I think). Here are the links:

Thank you, Kryllith! That is so very kind of you!  :) I have an 80s bookstore on my Retro Dish site, that includes some other titles, other than my own! ;) Radical, you can check out the bookstore at the link below:

I have all of the titles listed in the bookstore and they are all great to have in your 80s nostalgia book collection (mine included, natch!)!!!  ;D
