Subject: 80s dance from the Wedding Singer

Written By: Ben on 05/14/02 at 01:34 a.m.

OK for those of you who have seen the wedding singer, which im sure many have, do any of you recall that dance that the man was doing at the beginning of the movie...when Robbie Hart (Adam Sandler) was singing "You spin me round (like a reacord baby)" and there was this small crowd of ppl circled around this like 40 year old dude doing this dance where he would like kick his right foot out and bend downward to his ankles and at the same time extend his left arm (opposite arm from foot) into the air. And so on, and so forth. I'm really trying to learn this dance soon for my bro's wedding reception next week, I'd appreciate if someone could give me some information about it! I just watched the film again last night.Believe it or not he was doing either the 'Hornpipe' which is a very, very old dance originally danced by sailors,or a russian cossak dance, also very old. but they have a habit of reappearing every now and then at the disco, usually when someone is drunk!!
