Well since alot of us were a product of the MTV generation, we burned our eyes out staring at MTV and its videos. There are some truly rememerable videos that still stand out in my mind today. Some of these are

Aerosmyth -Jamies got a gun
The Cars - You might think
Dire Straights -  I want my MTV
Donnie Iris - Ah Leah
Def Leppard -  Photograph
Tom Petty - running down a dream

This old brain is not thinking as it used to.. any others to add?  :D

Duran Duran videos were certainly the best, IMO.  :)

Save A Prayer
Lonely In Your Nightmare

Rio and Hungry Like The Wolf are quite excellently done and were probably the most played on MTV in their day.

I believe it was. It also skyrocketed their recognition. Controversy always does that. In the words of the lead singer of Duran Duran, Simon LeBon - "...what a little ice in the n**ple can do for ya."  ;D

I like SO many videos....they would take to long to list.  Basically, I'll say that my favorite artists usually do the videos I like the best....How's THAT for an obvious statement :D Some would be...

I was just wondering if any of you could recall a certain video. It is really bugging me.
Either Platnium Blonde or Glass Tiger released it. It was a ballad and it started off with a woman in the 50's looking at a picture of a man in a uniform. She is crying too.
Does it trigger anything for anybody? It is driving me nuts. I think it also showed that they were actually making a movie.

I have too many fav videos to list but the Phil Collins video Billy don't you lose my number was cool. I watched a lot of much music.

You all have mentioned some good videos!  Here's three that I have never been able to forget:

Stand and Deliver by Adam Ant

Electric Avenue by Eddy Grant (for some reason this video scared me, but I liked it.)

And then there was a video by The Plasmatics where Wendy O. Williams sang on the top of a speeding bus and the bus blew up in the end.  But for the life of me, I can't remember the song title or any lyrics.

Thank you, Thank You. I downloaded it this morning and it was that Platinum Blonde video.
I just found out Platinum Blonde is coming to do a concert in our small town this summer. I will let you guys know how they sound. I would love them to look the same but I bet they don't. Maybe they could get out their pointy shoes and white socks just for 1 night. :P

I remember that one, it was pretty funny with phil doing imitations of other great videos from the past
