I know its kind of early in the decade but anybody know any similatiries of the early 00's trends to the 80's trends?

A lot of the fashion is back in style. Stuff like big belts, big hooped earrings, bright make up and wavy and crimed hair. Stone washed and ripped jeans are also back, but the biggest shock for me is that ra-ra skirts are back! Todd_R will be happy :)

Yeah I noticed some stuff back in style from the 80's. That is why I started this topic. Yeah the big earings are back in a BIG way. Stone washed jeans are back in? Also don't forget about the sitcom "My Wife and Kids" taken an influence from the Cosby Show. What about band like "The Strokes" , "The Hives", Weezer, and Jimmy Eat World being influenced by early 80' punk.

They sure are :) Me, I've been wearing only dark denim for about 5 years and I recently bought a pair of stone washed, hipster flared jeans. The straight legged trouser thing isn't back yet - flares appear like they're here to stay for sometime. I can't wear any pair of long trousers that arn't flared :/ !
