Subject: Teen Angel Movie

Written By: Jeff on 06/04/02 at 11:35 a.m.

HEL
P!!!!  I was wondering if the name of this movie is correct.  A teen angel comes back from the 50's and helps out a kid in the 80's.  The angel is trying to get to heaven,  Is this the right name?  Teen Angel???

Was it The Heavenly Kid?

50’s kid who died in a car crash but couldn’t get into heaven, (probably because he was like, some black leather jacket wearing "hoodlum") until he makes good and keeps a lovable, but suicidal kid in present day 80’s from offing himself due to unrequited love and nerdyness.

Came out around early - mid 80s.

I agree with sleevewipe.  It sounds like The Heavenly Kid.  Pretty good movie.

You know Dag, the phrase “Go Sammy” echoed in my head for most of the night before it finally dawned on me why I should know it.

Ooo! A Masrati… Keys!?  One of my all time favorite 80s movies.

Good quote.

Doh! Sleevewipe - Inserts foot in mouth, yet again.

I thought you referenced a line in the Cory's movie - License to Drive.

There was this drunk guy who drove off in one of the Cory's car listening to a Frank Sinatra song and slurring, "Yah, go Sammy!" (Mistaking Frank for Sammy Davis Jr. in his stupor, i assume.)

Well anyway, if you ever happen to see that movie, and you hear that line, you can say to yourself - "So that's what that moron on the messageboard was babbling about."

You're not a moron...I just had no clue that that could also be a movie quote.  I tried to find a Cubs avatar with no luck.  If I had one of those it would have made more sense than just being stuck in the middle of a sea of frogs. ;D
