Subject: "The '80s" NBC-TV Mini-Series

Written By: dpgsk8 on 06/15/02 at 10:04 p.m.

They did such a great job with "The '60s" and "The '70s"!  Anybody know if NBC is going to do "The '80s" anytime in the future?  If not, why not?

I hope not,  I thought they did a horrible job with "the 70s".  It was kind of  ridiculous if you ask me.  I don't trust Hollywood to show the eighties in a decent way.  They'll probaly focus the whole series on "greedy capalists", Iran Contra, and Aids.

I saw the 60's and thought it was great. I was not able to see the 70's because of a scheduling problem but I was hoping that they did as good of a job. the 60's was totally great and it showed so much stuff from that decade, I never lived through it but i was even affected by the movie.  :D

I enjoyed "The 60s" but I thought "The 70s" was pretty lame. I don't think one about "The 80s" will be made for some years to come yet, if at all...  :)

Actually, I didn't think the 70's one was too bad. There were some things that they could have done to improve it, but it was interesting.   You can rent it at the video store.
