Hi! donīt you just love the serie? And donīt you think Sarah J. Parker as a kind of "twenty-first century revival 80's" Look??! I just love them all!

Well actually I don't watch it (due to other conflicting programming but have seen it).

Whilst being respectful of your views, SJ Parker is the one person on the show I can't stand.  I just wanna reach into the TV and thump her.

It's hard to put my finger on why excatly.  I think she reminds me of a cross between my sister and a rabid feminist co-worker I used to have to deal with.... :(

One of my favorite shows on HBO.  I agree with you Fuss about Sarah Jessica, something about her bothers me also.  Probably how she carries herself on the show.  Her style is cute though.

What does everyone see in SJP? I don't find her particularly attractive or even interesting, sorry! Whenever I see her, I always think of the scene in 'Striking Distance' when she's wearing that red dress... Ack! The director should have been shot for that.

As for the show itself, is it a parody? It always seem that way to me.

haha.. great use of the word "thump"...

i love this show but SJP's "coy" look (where she turns her head and slowly raises her eyes and kinda squints at whatever new man she's admiring) has gotten on my nerves after five years or whatever.. still love it, tho. also, you can just tell when carrie is gonna screw something up, i find myself going "nnoooo! carrie, don't do it! .. Aaaaah! darnit, she did it" acting clingy or getting involved with big when she's with fabulous aidan (tho i love big, too) or just saying or doing something, well, dumb...

Agreed, Thump is the perfect term for what I'd like to do to her as well.  She is definitely the most annoying character on that show.

And her fashion sense?  Who in their right mind wears stilleto heels, with knee socks, their underwear and a big pink flower and walks on the street in NY?  She'd get shot and mugged if this were real life.

And not just in NY, my part of the world too (VA).

Hey, I hate the show, to "pat" in its scripted dialouge, same copmplaint with that HBO sports agent show Arlis.  I will say that SJP is not an attractive person or personality.  I can say that she is lucky to have a steady job though.

I've never seen Sex in the City, but I know Parker got good reviews for her performance as the dog in the Broadway production of "Sylvia". Maybe she's better at playing animals than people.

One day I'll see her in something and be able to decide for myself.

Agreed Race, I think the only shows worth watching on HBO are OZ and the Sopranos.  SJP just ruins the show for me.

Cool, this turned into a "blast" SJP and Sex and the City thread.
I knew this was a bright bunch.
Agreed, Spranos and Oz are interesting, I loved the 1st season of the Sopranos, the 2nd wasn't as good but still better quiality than most, 3rd, my interest wained.  I haven't had a chance at the newest one yet.  Hopefully better.

I never watch the show, but what I heard, I don't like it too much. Kim Cattrall is one of the worst actresses ever.
