What movie/TV/musical stars of the 80's do you recall having some of your biggest crushes on?

For me they were:

Movies: Ralph Macchio, Kiefer Sutherland
TV: John Stamos (General Hospital)
Music: John Taylor (Duran Duran), Sting

OMG - who didn't I have a crush on?  :D  Let's see, there was Billy Wirth (remember War Party with him on horseback with his long hair flowing?), John Taylor, Matt Dillon, Steven Tyler & Joe Perry (both still yummy) and finally, even though I was waaay too young to be interested in him - SAM ELLIOT (especially in Mask - SIGH).

Oddly enough, I never had any crushes on famous people (I did have a crush on my 8th grade Algebra teacher).  All my friends bought TeenBeat and all those other magazines and covered their lockers with pictures.  I pretended to have a crush on Ralph Macchio for a little bit so I didn't feel so odd, but decided it wasn't worth spending the money on the magazines... yep, I was a strange kid.

For anyone interested, 1 of my cousins (my age) is a dead-ringer for Kiefer Sutherland.   ;-)   Not kidding.

Hey, same here.  I've still never had a "crush" or anything like it on any famous person.  I figure, why bother?  It's never gonna happen.  I'm just very practical.  If he ain't *near* me, I'm not gonna have a crush!

I "liked" a few, for sure, appreciating their phyiscal qualities, but never any  :P   :o  you know what I mean!

I'm trying to wrack my brain for any teacher/older person crushes....can't come up w/any now.  Just that this 1 SS teacher was certainly good-looking.  But he used to entertain girls in my class too much (including a friend who DID have a crush on him), and I used to wonder.  Tragically, the other year he jumped off a very high bridge.  Guess why?  There were charges or investigations brought against him for "harassing" girls in school even - you guessed it - "13 years ago".  The saddest part was he had a wife and kids (yes, during my years too).

Sorry to go OT....back on, I don't think I had crushes except a few boys in my area around my own age!

Here goes:

Genuine crushes:

Malorie from Family Ties
Christine "Moose" McGlade from You Can't Do That On Television
Lisa Ruddy from You Can't Do That On Television

Not quite crushes, but goo-goo for:

Patti Smythe in her "The Warrior" music video
Ally Sheedy, especially in "War Games"
Debra Winger, particularly in "An Officer and a Gentleman"
Natasha Kinski, "Cat People" (can you believe what I was allowed to watch as a kid?)

My deepest apologies to any crushes I may have omitted. Please don't hold it against me if I ever meet you. :)

I wouldn't classify it as a crush, but I did like "Moose".  I wish Nickelodeon would run "You Can't..."  episodes!   >:(

Actually, I had a boyfriend during my freshman and sophomore years of college that was a dead ringer for James Spader.  Just picture Spader in the movie Stargate and put about 10 more pounds on him.  That was my ex almost to a tee!

Same here, Fett.  I used to love "You Can't..."!  And I'm like you.  I wouldn't call mine a crush, but I used to think Alastair on that show was a cutie. ;)

Oh I had a bunch, too!
From the movies, I always loved Ralph Macchio, and Andrew McCarthy was a cutie too, also Sean Astin.   On TV, there was Johnny Depp when he was on 21 Jump Street, and Kirk Cameron from Growing Pains.  Most of mine were from music though..where to start..Morten Harket from a-ha, Mike Tramp from White Lion, Richie Sambora, Rick Savage (but boy--the years have not been to good on him, IMO!  ;)) but my A #1 Choice was always Mark Slaughter, from the first moment I laid eyes on him.... :-* :-*

Marci, I am so glad you posted...how on earth could I forget Mark Slaughter.....yummmmm.  And Rick Savage?  Man, I always thought he was completely hot.  You're right, though, the years have not been good to him at all. :'(

Unfortunately not, for a long time.  He's become 1 of those lost souls and he married another lost soul too.  You know, pasty-white-faced, skinny as hell, wears black everything all the time, always depressed.  They're basically nice people but a bit in outer space.  Personally I'd like him back in his childhood days when he was happy and spunky.  I think high school ruined him.  :-/

I'm new here. Hi. Just thought I'd add my crushes (however, the list is extensive and would NOT be fun to try & think through! LOL);
Hm.....Kirk Cameron, for sure. I loved him. William Baldwin. Keifer Sutherland. Harrison Ford (Indiana Jones). Ralph Macchio. Shawn Michaels (a wrestler, for all you poor people who never watched rasslin'). Steve Guttenberg. Sean Astin. Corey Haim. Charlie Sheen. Tom Cruise and pretty much ALL the boys in "Top Gun"! Pretty sad, I guess. Of course, my mother should have sent me in for psychiatric evaluation when I had a crush on Prince Eric from "The Little Mermaid".

I just love her Eyes in Scarecrow and Mrs King

Gee is this gonna be "out there", but then again you weren't expecting anything normal from Sammy Reed, were you?

My biggest 80's crush: Jennifer Gatti, the original Dinah from "Guiding Light", 1986-87. I realize that the trekkies know her as "Libby" (from 1 episode of "Star Trek Voyager"), But Dinah is what I will always know her best as.
I also had the doggondest thing for Lily Liu from the Voice of Free China shortwave station.

I warned you it was gonna be "out there".

Talk about "out there", I had this thing about Jenny Agutter. I can still remember what she didn't have on in the movies "Logan's Run" and "An American Werewolf In London". I saw photos from "Walkabout", and made me wish she was my age so I could...well can't print it here. ;D
I also had a crush on MTV VJ's Martha Quinn and Carolyne Heldman. But when Martha came back to MTV during the 90's to replace Carolyne, I liked her less. I had a thing for Nina Blackwood in a smaller kind of way.

All I can remember about her, and about Jennifer Guthrie, is how similar their names were to Jennifer Gatti.
