Subject: Need help identifying a video

I was wondering if someone here could help me out with a music video that has always stuck with me. I don't remember the song or the artist, just that it was a ballad-type of song and that the group who sang it was male. All I remember from the video is that it had some sort of storyline in which a little girl had a rag doll, but she dropped the doll off the bridge into a river...and then toward the end of the video it turned out that the doll *was* the little girl and she drowned. It was so sad! I've never forgotten it.
This was around 1983 or 84. Does this sound familiar to anyone? My sister remembers it too, but she doesn't remember whose video it was, either. I used to think it was "Can't Fight This Feeling" by REO Speedwagon, but I recently got to see the video for that song and it wasn't the one. Help!
