Subject: old episodes of "CLUB MTV"

hello to all,
Just happened stumble onto this sight. I came of age in the kitschy 1980s. Anyway, I was just wonderin' if any of you have any old copies of CLUB MTV. Especially the first couple of seasons (1987-mid 1989). I'm surprised the show doesn't seem to be that well remembered. It was a fun show, and note too kitschey, at least not as I remember it  ::).

I actually have the Halloween 1987 (or was it 88?) episode of Club MTV hosted by Downtown Julie Brown on video.. I remember taping it because of the real cool outfit she had on that night.  (Shiny gold lame very short bloomers and a corset) and the other cool costumes the dancers were wearing.. I have another (87 or 88?) episode with Debbie Harry as the featured performer.  The clothes in both episodes were way cool!

I liked Downtown Julie Brown though, always thought that she was really cool, even if she did end each show by saying "Wubba, wubba, wubba"! What the heck did that mean, anyway?

MTV was doing some cheesy "logo" adds at about that time.  There was one where the Mtv logo came up on the screen, with a voice in the background that said, "Doodle doodle dee, wubba wubba wubba".  I'm pretty sure that's where Julie got it.

I loved that show, hot babes in sexy clothes.  The only down part was Julie Brown, I couldn't stand her voice!

It was a pretty goofy but fun show. Even though it was shot in the Palladium it seemed as tough they taped it in some local neighborhood club. The " factor was high. LOL. Too bad they don't show any reruns of the show late at night. I don't know about you guys, but I've had enough of the (un)REAL WORLD.
