Subject: Friday Night Videos: A Look Back!

I've posted this particular link before, but it has been a while. I especially like the 6-second clip of the theme music. ;D
I remember going to sleep (more like a nap, actually) around 9 p.m. and my alarm going off around 11:45 p.m. so I could be wide awake and alert to watch what was quite possibly my favorite show of the early-mid 1980's - Friday Night Videos.

I used to do the same thing:) We didn't have cable in Jr. High, so the only way I got to see videos was to watch FNV.

I hear you, we didnt get cable at my house until about 1987. I either had to go to my aunt and uncles house to watch MTV or stay up late and watch FNV to see music videos. It was cool.

That brief little sound wave of the theme music to Friday Night Videos instantly brought back memories for me!!! Oh, the many nights I stayed up (before having MTV in the house), watching FNV and catching all the latest by Duran Duran, Culture Club, Michael Jackson, etc., etc. !!! :)

My mother, my brothers and I used to sit up to watch Friday Night Videos every Friday and record the artists we liked! Boy I wish we still had that tape! It didn't air in our area until 1:00 a.m.

WOW! What flashbacks! :o I really enjoyed the clip. Made me wish I wasn't thirty-something sitting in an office!!!
