I miss Molly Ringwald! I know that she appears in movies and tv show sporadically, but I still miss her a great deal! I also miss Terri Garr, who starred in some great 80s movies, including Mr. Mom, Tootsie and First Born. She's always been a personal fave of mine! :)

Yes. It was quite a surprise to me (and to many fans, I'm sure) to learn of her approx. 20 year battle with Multiple Sclerosis. I wish her the best.

The first time I saw him was when he starred with John Cusack and Rob Lowe in 1983's Class.  That film is still one of my favorites! :)

I LOVE Class !! I still remember exactly where I was when I first saw it !  (I was holidaying in Sydney !).  What a cast.

I too consider Teri Garr as a classic late 70's and 80's actress - she was in all my favourite movies of the time.  When she guest starred in Friends last year I wondered if she had MS or something similar - there was something in her walk and face that didnt seem the same.  I assumed it was just that I hadnt heard anything.  When she announced it the other week I hadnt realised she had been keeping it a secret.

So many of my faves from the 80s are still around.
Cept for one............. River Phoenix.  Sigh  :'(  Mosquito Coast, Little Nikita, Sneakers, Stand By Me, Dogfight, Running On Empty, The Last Crusade.  So many of my favorite movies were his.  I was so convinced he would grow to be the Harrison Ford of his generation.

Eric Idle - Very nice back then!

James Belushi - I dated a bloke in '82 who looked exactly like him, and after that I always thought Belushi was kinda cute.

Debra Winger! She was great in Cannery Row, An Officer and a Gentleman, and Urban Cowboy.

Demi Moore was the Debra Winger of the 90s.

I wonder who is going to be the Debra Winger of the 00s.

I remember seeing the CD cover once. It was called "Pitch Like a Girl." An apparent example of her singing ability can be found in the theme from Disney's "Pepper-Ann."

I can't believe someone else on this board remembered Cynthia Rothrock :)  She was really hot and she kicked all kinds of butt too.  They used to show her movies on USA and TNT late night, good insomniac entertainment.

I think Holly Hunter is still around doing smaller films though.

I'm glad someone else recognized who I was talking about and was able to catch some of her flicks. It wasn't too often back then you'd see a strong woman in kickin' butt action flicks.

Cynthia Rothrock was in a couple of Jackie Chan's movies too...I think she was able to hold her own.

Speaking of, not many can beat the 80s style Jackie, back when he was more young and spry.

Kathleen Turner. I noticed someone mentioned Bill Bixby. While everyone had major crushes on all the teen idols, I had a major crush on Bill Bixby. I think I cried the day he died. :'(

Micheal Pare is a good one.
Also miss Marc Singer, still the original Beastmaster.  Although he did have small recurring roles in movies of the 90s.  Heard he actually directs now.
And it's a shame what happened to Jan-Micheal Vincent.

LMAO  You can see "Doc" on those "D Snore" commericals. "I'm a not a doctor but I played one on t.v." I don't think that "Gofer" is still in the House of Reps. He was for a short period of time. Who knows what happened to anyone else. Maybe they sailed off into the sunset.

I loved the Gene Wilder/Richard Pryor film 'See no evil, hear no evil' - I wish they could team up together again!

I would like to mention Bill Murray (Ghostbusters) but he's still got quite a career going. I think he's in a film version of Ozzie and Drix at the moment.
