Subject: Please Help w/ TV Show IDs

Written By: I Luv The 80's on 10/21/02 at 03:14 p.m.

TV Show #1:
PBS show from the 80's or late 70's - Stories were told while a man drew the illustrations with chalk on a huge canvas.
Does anyone remember the name of this show?

TV Show #2:
On Great Space Coaster one of the guys had a hand-held viewer that showed cartoons.  Was there ever a cartoon on it that featured a bug with a huge nose that was sad alot...it wasn't in color...it just looked it was drawn in pencil.  Was there a name for this cartoon skit, if yes what was the name of it?

TV Show #3
Cartoon from the 80's.  The premise was a teacher who was also a witch.  I think her name was Ms. Switch or something like that.  Does anyone know the name of this cartoon?

Thanks So Much!  :)

You may be talking about the guy with a moustache who was on those shows on public TV that were shown in schools.
If so, his name is John Robbins and he did a new show every year or 2, each with a different name. I remember watching him in my 5th or 6th grade class (1979-81). I don't remember the name of that show, but I do remember the theme song was sung by kids, ending with "you and you and you and you and you".
Anyway, I have noticed that during the 80's, his shows had "Books from Cover to Cover" in the name. ("Books from Cover to Cover", "More Books from Cover to Cover", etc.)
