The best Hall and Oates song has to be "Private Eyes". "Maneater" has nothin' on it. OK, well, it's a good song but I like "Private Eyes" better.

Though I do agree with that, I gotta say I always liked "Out of Touch" the best, for some reason.

1) Out Of Touch

I'm going to add my usual honorable mentions:

Dreamtime

Method Of Modern Love

You Make My Dreams Come True...at least that's the lyric in the chorus.  Very uplifting song.

Best Hall & Oates.. Hmmm... Sara Smile & She's Gone.  Both are 70's Hall and Oates, I believe. Best 80's, You Make My Dreams.

My personal fave is "Family Man."

Some of my other top faves are

"Out of Touch"
"Dreamtime" (VERY underplayed except in August 1986)
"Say It Isn't So"
"I Can't Go For That (No Can Do)"

I think "Private Eyes".  Even if it just barely makes it into the '80s.  I really like most of their hits - but frankly, I could turn off "Maneater".  It's just too flat and dull compared to most of their stuff.  Figures that would be their #1 hit?   ??? ::)

My fave Hall & Oates songs would be "Method of Modern Love" and "Adult Education", although I also liked a lot of their earlier work... :)

That was a GREAT song. You're out of time, I'm out of touch. I feel like singing it out loud.

There are so many I'll go with "Kiss Is On My List" and "Method of Modern Love".

Method of Modern Love is definitely my fave of theirs...then again I'm not much of a Hall & Oates fan... :)

Kiss on my list is my favorite.

I just love that bass electric piano that is heard throughout the song. It is very much cool.

we cant forget "Family Man"--although someone mentioned it-it needs to be mentioned again because its cool.
I cant go for that (no can do). I love the electronic keyboards they used.

"We are Frayo" - Kajagoogoo (although Limahl claims he wrote this)

I think that weve determined that everything they did was pretty darn good! If there was a juke box with only H 7 O songs on it I could close my eyes and hit the buttons and not be disappointed. But an all time fav would have to be Youve lost that loving feeling..... ;)

I'm glad to see someone else picked "Some Things Are Better Left Unsaid". This has been my favorite Hall & Oates song since the first moment I heard it. It just has a mood to it I love.

Dreamtime

For anyone out there who may care:

It came out in August 1986.

"Dreamtime" is by Daryl Hall alone.

Hall & Oates didn't release a studio album after "Big Bam Boom" until 1988 when "Ooh Yeah!" came out.

Can't narrow it down to one so I'll narrow it down to the top three.

Private Eyes, She's Gone, and Rich Girl :)

I like pretty much everything they did in the 80s more than the stuff they did in the 70s.

I see someone mentioned "Did It In A Minute".  Thats gotta be one of the most underplayed songs of theirs.  I only heard it twice ever.  Once on a satellite music station about 4 years ago, that was when I finally learned the name, before that I thought it was called "She Did It", and nobody knew what song I was talking about.  And once probably when it was on the charts, we were coming home from shopping and there was smashed motorcycle on the highway.  That was back when vehicle accidents moved you because they didnt happen as much as they do now.

Anyway, whats the deal with "65 Love Affair" by Paul Davis?  Is there a reason it just happens to sound WAY too much like Hall & Oates?
