Hello.  I was searching around trying to find out what happened to the band Steel Breeze & came upon this message board.  Apparently I can answer some past questions re: the band.
The original band that recorded "You Don't Want Me Anymore," a favorite of a couple of you, broke up when the band lost their record deal.  Rod Toner, the original keyboard player, went on to form a new band & they played the San Francisco bay area/ Reno / N. Nevada circuit in bars & clubs all through the 80's & 90's - they also contributed to the "Witchboard" soundtrack (anyone remember that old 80's movie?!
Band members came & went countless times until there were no original members left although they still capitalized by using the name Steel Breeze & all the original band's kudos.  The new band played at places like the Hard Rock Cafe, casino lounges & state fairs.  They had a website www.steelbreezeband.com up until a couple of months ago.  You used to be able to find their current gig list there.  Now they're website's been down - that's why I was searching around & how I ended up here!

Anyone know what happened to Steel Breeze now? :-/
Peace,
Divinity

Their lead singer, Kevin Chalfont, went on and sang with The Storm and sang on their only top 40 hit, "I've Got A Lot To Learn About Love". Their name comes from a Pink Floyd line ("You were caught on the crossfire/Of childhood and stardom/Blown on the steel breeze").
