Subject: oh no! country song about us?
In my car the other day, I heard the tail-end of some new song on my fave country station. I think it was called "Nineteen-Eighty Somethin'". It was a male but I don't know who. Something in there about parachute pants and how cheesy he looked. Anyone hear this? I'll keep my ears open.

It is actually called "Nineteen-something". It is a guy reminiscing about his childhood. He starts in the seventies and goes to the eighties. The one line that we can all probably relate to is "Lookin' back now I can see me, oh man did I look cheesey"...I laugh every time.

I like it too. That one and the other country song "My Next Thirty Years" describe exactly how I feel right now in my life.

Mark Wills sings it. It is an awesome song especially for those of us that remember the 70's too. Makes me smile every time I hear it.

I don't think we looked cheesy. I am pretty sure our kids will be embarassed by us, though. ;)

Finally saw the video of this this morning on CMT, a channel that still plays videos, albeit country. TAKE A HINT, MTV AND VH1!!!!!

I saw a live performance video of the Mark Wills' "Nineteen Something" just the other day as well. I really liked the song's touching lyrics and I could really identify with the message of the song! :)
