Subject: aussie movie--Fortress

My brother and sisters loved this movie so much they wore out the tape.  We can't locate it anywhere!!
Basically, it's a story of an aussie teacher and her class of 10 students who are kidnapped.  Then they try to escape and ...
well it was pretty grusome(back then). It may have been an independent film for all I know I was only 12. ???

I've caught this movie several times on cable and it is actually pretty good. I've been a big fan of Rachel Ward's since The Thorn Birds and will watch pretty much everything she stars in. :)

My parents have it on VHS, but I don't believe I've ever seen the movie.

Try the book too - its HEAPs better than the film.  Gabrielle Lord is one of Australia's finest horror/thriller writers.

Point to ponder for the day:  The nasty guys in the masks - are also B1 and B2 in Banana's in Pyjamas !!!!!

And Rebecca Rigg - the oldest girl in it - is married to Simon Baker from The Guardian.

I never knew that BMG!  I do hope this doesn't spoil the Bananas in Pyjamas experience for me.  ;D

Wow - its nice to actually have trivia that no one already knows for a change !!  :)

Yep the guys were the original Banana's - for like the past 10 or 12 years - and now from what I was reading not long ago - they have new guys in the suits - but they are still doing the voices so the kiddies have a bit of continuity !!  But they were definately still in the suits for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Closing Ceremony cos my dad was their security guard and had to escort them out to the stadium !!!!

I can think of a movie with the same title, only it stars Highlander star Christopher Lambert...and it's a rocking movie!
