I like Tina Turner and Wham. I think George Michael was great with Wham.

Hmm... I guess the songs I like but do not play publicly are Samantha Fox and Culture Club.

Here I go, about to belt one out: "I wanna have some fun, touch my body all night long."

Oh and there was the "I touch myself song." I liked it but would not be caught dead grooving to it.

That song has some of the most quirkiest lyrics.  I love that one.

"I wish I were in...Tijuana...eating barbequed iguana..."

"I hear the talk...of the DJ...can't understand what does he say???"

If I told you, it would no longer fit in this thread...

There are a lot that I like that I don't like to admit. Some of them are by Barry Manilow and (believe it or not) the Partridge Family. One time, one of my best friends and I were in the grocery store and we were trying to one-up each other. I would say, "I have the Partridge Family," and she would say, "Well, I have The Bay City Rollers." Then I would say, "Yay, but I have Barry Manilow," and she would reply, "But I have Shawn Cassidy." We went on like that for awhile. The person behide the counter was just laughing at us. I do have a lot more cheesier music now than I did at that time so I could probably really beat her. lol

If we all liked the same things, the world would be a boring place.  :)

I'll list some:

I liked Wham's "Make It Big" album and their other one with the song "Im Your Man"... Oh! "Music From the Edge of Heaven".

I also like Meco's hit "Ewok Celebration".  ;D

I don't mention these often, so... they fit into this thread quite well.  :)

I love that song by the Divinyls. I also like "I Think We Alone Now" and "Could've Been" by Tiffany (I had them on my Pocket Rocker) do yall remember pocket rockers? Anyways. I also absolutely LOVE Mandy by Barry Manilow....I have the record. Its a sentimental attachment though. You know how when you are little you dont think anyone else in the world has the same name as you. Well, I was the ONLY Mandy, of course...so I thought that song was written for me.

I think the names Amanda & Mandy are quite lovely.  :)

I too like the song "Mandy" by Barry Manilow. More of a hush-hush song of his I like is "Copacabana".  ;D  Purely nostalgic reasons though, of course.  ;)

That song is awful but for some reason I like it. Only one person knows that I like it, so am I being foolish posting this? I just bought the record that song is on.*cough*

:-[I know it's pathetic but I still like the New Kids on the Block. I just don't tell anyone...Hey, it's kind of hard to hate them completely when you've spent so much time listening to them.

"Don't Worry, Be Happy." When I first heard that song, I actually called the radio station and asked, "What was that??" But I guess it grew on me.

Hey Kenny, you into Journey's pre-Steve Perry era? Personally I think as far as the quality of the music, Journey was a lot better before Steve joined the band.

Rush Rush-Paula Abdul, If It Isn't Love-New Edition, I wanna Some Fun-Samantha Fox, I Still Believe-Brenda K. Starr, Your Are My Lady-Freddie Jackson(I am embarassed by that one the most), Freak Me-Silk(this song is just flat out sexual), some of Gloria Estefan's Miami Sound Machine and solo stuff stuff(If people my age knew I liked that stuff they probably be speechless), Sexual-Amber(I like this girls music but some might think this song is just flat out cheesey) Show Me-Cover Girls(cheesy 80's fresstyle classic), Good Vibrations-Marky Mark(this one is probably more embarassing than liking a Freddie Jackson song), Saved The Best For Last-Vaneesa Williams(I tell people outside my age group I like this song I just think "Saved The Best for last" is just a beautiful ballad.)

I like Garth Brooks "Standing outside the Fire" and "Wrapped up in You".

I like some of the hair bands songs from the 80's, like "Hole hearted", and Motley Crue "Girl Don't Go Away Mad" (although those would be really good parady material- heehee)

and I like Billy Idols "Cradle of Love" I think mostly because of the video.

I love "Safety Dance" by Men Without Hats

and I even like "I'm Too Sexy" by Right Said Fred although it got overplayed..

But alas,,, these are things I could never admit to in my family as I would be attacked with put downs if they knew... :-[

Editing because I realized not all of these are 80's, my bad.
