Subject: 80's toy and cartoon im dying trying to remember!

Written By: Warlock (Guest) on 11/30/02 at 09:09 p.m.

me and my freind was sitting around the other day talking about toys we had...and i cant remember the name of one of them..bugging the crap outta me

anyway..there was a cartoon for it too...was like earth vs. these alien brain things..and you could exchage the weapons back and forth from the 2 sets of vehicles..i swear it was called ace and something or max and something..i might be wrong..

but one of the good human guys had a big buzzsaw on his vehilce..another had a big drill bit thing..and all the parts could be swapped to make different vehicles..and all the alien vehicles was kinda organic vine looking on the outside.

anyone help me...ive been trying to remember for a year...lol

the way the part swapping worked was kinda like centurians..with the peg and hole connection i think...im not too sure...but think it was that way..

If it is the toy I am thinking of, I have been wondering the name of it too.  Were the people about an inch high?

cant remember exactly..they wasnt very big people...the aliens was just a grey/green looking brain thing that sat in their cockpits of the machines and that you could take out..

the vehicles was i guess a little smaller than the G.i. joe vehilcles of the same time...

Try this site and look under the 80's Saturday morning section:

http://www.yesterdayland.com

I was curious and looked through there.  One show that might be the one you are talking about is "The Mighty Orbits".  But I'm not sure.

My interest is peaked too, let me know if you find out the name of this show you are looking for.

nope thats not it :\

its not listed on this site in either the cartoon or the toys section

dunno if it was popular for very long

but it was all the rage with my 4th-5th grade freinds...lol

i think i remember the main good guys vehicle as being mostly white..and a fat eggish overall shape kinda...and seems i remember most of the vehicles having overly huge back tires for the vehilces size
but i do know the main guy had a big silver drillbit on an arm type thing that sat on top of the vehicle you could take off and put on other vehicles.

cause riding from my freinds house to mine on our bikes...of all the places for the drillbit to pop off i was right over a sewer grate..and riding over the bump there made it come off and fall in....lol he complained to me for like 4 years about that..lol

i think you are thinking of Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors

it was about this guy called jayce and these fellow warriors who drove vehicles, one did have a saw on the front because they fought against evil alien beings who were like plants, so the saw was to cut through the plants.. i cant remember the idea exactly but it is all here, on yesterdayland.com where you looked before. i think jayce is who you are looking for...
