Subject: help with 80's artist
??? HELP!!! I have been trying to think of an 80's artist and won't be able to sleep until I figure it out. He is a singer who used to be in another band (can't figure that out either :-[) who went solo (Like Paul Young, Peter Cetera, John Waite) and had spiked blond hair, kinda good lookin (in the 80's sort of way) and sang a couple of mushy love songs. Any ideas???

First name John, Peter or Paul? Pretty young (back then) mid-20's or so. And, I don't think he was the lead singer of the band.

If he was blond maybe it was Peter Cetera formerly of Chicago.
If he was brunette maybe it was Paul Young

I hope you ppl are good with your 80's music. Timex social club put out a song called "rumors". What i need help with is the name of the group that dis the reply song to that called "lies". Can anyone help?
