I think Sean Penn is a very good actor.  But he chooses some weird roles.  I guess his performance in "I Am Sam" was worth a nomination, but I thought the little girl stole the show.  I loved that movie because the little girl was so good.

As for Sean Penn the PERSON...what the hell is he doing going to Baghdad anyway?  And who does he think he is doing the "Hanoi Jane" routine?  I don't know anything about the wifebeating, but Madonna is better off without his baggage weighing her down.

Then again, she's married to Guy Ritchie now, who threw her career into the toilet with "Swept Away"...she always finds a way to bounce back though.

Go Madonna :)

I had no idea... wow.

I was wondering:  I've recently heard of someone named Chris Penn from VH1's week-long 80s series.  Any relation???
I find it funny cuz my name is Chris, and my brother's name is Sean, lol.

Sean Penn is a great actor, but I heard his personal life was rather disturbing and that he treated Madonna badly! He's terrible if thats true...:'( :'(

Too bad for her. :'(
P.S.  "I AM SAM" was an awesome movie in spite of all that.

I never saw I Am Sam, but I loved him in Dead Man Walking.  Of course my favorite role of his was Spiccoli in Fast Times at Ridgemont High. ;D

Please! check out "I AM SAM". He really shows his true acting ability in that film. I heard that acting as a person who is mentally disable is one of the hardest roles to play in Hollywood. He did an outstanding job in that area!

I never saw "DEAD MAN WALKING", I heard it was good though. But ,I did see "FAST TIMES"... HILARIOUS MOVIE!! :D  If I'm correct, "Fast times at Ridgemont High" was his first film role ever.  i COULD BE WRONG.  :-/
