Subject: Granny boots from the 80's

Written By: Rory on 12/23/02 at 12:37 a.m.

Need help!  I have a pair of granny boots that come slightly above the ankle that have an 1 1/2 heal, they have more of a pointed toe, are black and lace up the front.  They have little holes as a design.  I love these boots and they were in great shape, however, the heal just broke and the shoe repair place said they can't fix them.  Other than the heal, the boots are in great condition.  Anyone have an idea where I can get another pair just like them?  Please send me an e-mail with the information and I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thanks! ;)

As far as I know, those boots haven't gone out of style.  I've seen similar styles in places like Marty's or DSW Shoe Warehouse.  Good luck (I'm a shoe person myself, and I'm always on the lookout for something new!).

When it comes to shoes I think I should have been born into the 70s..(or whenever it was that platforms were the fad) because I like TALL shoes....I dont actually have any platforms but I have some shoes with some pretty thick soles...I get teased a lot for picking such tall shoes because Im already 6'0" :)

These fat shoes do nothing to flatter me. I do miss the more delicate shoes of the past. As for granny shoes I'm sure you'll see those more often soon. The thinner heels are due for a total comeback.  I would recommend a thrift shop for the shoes but that can be skanky!
