Subject: Galaga/Ms Pac-man standing strong today!

I live in Philadelphia and its surprising how these games are still in arcades and movie theaters.....and how great it makes me feel! How come they have stood the test of time?Is it that feeling you get when you get captured by one of the galagas then shoot it and you become become twin fighters with double the firepower? And how about Ms. Pac-man its a Pac-Man rip off!Do we love it more because the one ghost is named Sue instead of Inky? They made songs, cereals, cartoons about Pac-man but Ms. Pac Man is still around 20 years later. In the present day of fighting and shooting games where you need to see gore its great to see "our heroes" controlled by a joystick! Its also fun to see younger generations playing these classics it can teach them a lesson on how to play real video games. ;)

Ah, the days when video game controllers favored right-handed people!  I remember those days…

Coincidentally I think I just heard someone's cell phone ring just like the theme to Ms. Pac-Man...

I spent many hours and quarters playing those games.  Anyone ever encounter/play the Pac-Man/Ms. Pac-Man machines where game play was sped up?

I own a Galaga.. the pizza place in Auburn I frequent still has a Pacman which I play whenever I go there.. if I go in a mall arcade, there's usually one or both.. usually Ms PacMan though.. I don't mind dropping a token in a Ms PacMan.. beats the typical driving games out there..

the only other game I'll waste money on is South Park the pinball game.. best pinball adaptation I've ever seen... wish I had a big enough house to own one..
