Subject: Hubba Bubba Soda
Does anyone remember Hubba Bubba Soda? I recently came across a full six-pack of it in almost new condition, but don't know much about it. How did I miss this one in the 80's? I was a teenager then, I should've known about it. Was it a test-market product that never made it to where I lived? How long did it last? Did anyone actually drink it? Anyone with information on this product out there? I do remember this soda. It was way too sweet for me :-X
Of course, being the kid who absolutely had to try every product that came out back then I had my mom buy some. I came across a similar tasting soda a few years back called Red Flash.

I checked the can and it doesn't list sugar content, although it says it has 90 calories and 23g of carbs (per 6 oz. serving--double that for the whole can!). I checked these numbers against the Coca Cola on my desk here and Coke has 140 calories and 39g of carbs for the whole can (now considered one serving, incidentally!). Yeah, I'd say Hubba Bubba was one sweet soda!

The carbs are the same as sugar content in soda. That makes Hubba-Bubba Soda about 46g of sugar per 12 oz. serving. Talk about a diabetic coma..!

I don't remember Hubba Bubba soda, but the Gator-Gum I definately do. Whoo...when I chewed that stuff it was non-stop salivating, it was so sour.

;D That is so awesome that someone still has a 6-pack around!! Not that I would buy it or drink it anymore! When it came out it was my favorite pop! I had my mom buy me some for my birthday slumber party and I was the only one who drank it..I couldn't understand it back than. Of coarse now I do! That stuff is too sweet and nasty for me. I'll stick to Coca Cola thanks ;) I remember gator-ade gum....I always thought it was awful tasting!
