something that might be more helpful is to go to ANY and i mean any thrift store...  it's a virtual sea of acid wash...

and various other unbelievable 80s fashions for that matter...

you are right about that.  Goodwill stores, Salvation Army outlets, etc are filled with 80s clothes.  And they're really inexpensive too.

believe it or not, the one thrift store in this itty bitty town I'm stuck in didn't have ANY acid washed jeans! so I bought a pair that were tight on the ankles, high waisted and fitted. I was hoping my mom or one of my aunts would remember how to, but they don't. I am giong to try bleach in a  spray bottle.

Nooooo. Don't try to bleach it yourself! It'll never look right and it'll just ruin your clothes! Seriously, I got an acid wash denim jacket from a thrift store six months ago for $8!

If you are definatly going to try yourself send a PM to Brianmannixgirl I remember her advising someone else last year how to do this.

you just reminded me of something.   I remember years ago when my sister tried to bleach her jeans with bleach and peroxide(she thought if it worked on hair, why not on jeans).  Well, long story short she ended up with a pair of yellowish-white jeans.  Trust me, don't do it. ;D
