Subject: Frankie Says Relax

Ok, stupid question....what is that line from??? Maybe I should know this but I dont and Im very curious. On friends the other night (old re-run) Rachel and Ross were arguing over their stuff when they broke up and he said he wanted back a t-shirt of his that she slept in. she argued that he never wore it because it hadnt fit him since 5th grade and to prove his point he put it on and it was soo tiny and it says FRANKIE SAYS RELAX real big in green letters, and then I noticed that someone here had it on their quote...what is it from???

I'll field this one!

The Frankie Says Relax shirt craze was derived from the group Frankie Goes to Hollywood, who had the No. 1 international hit "Relax", circa 1984. There were a host of other similiar, copycat shirts, most notably the "Choose Life" shirts from the Wham! video to "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" era. Hope that this helps! :)

Slightly off topic---but I've been wondering for a while now, how old are the characters on Friends supposed to be?  I mean I'm 27 years old. (born in 1975)  Friends came on when I was still in high school, and I know theren's no way those characters were my age back then.  They didn't look to be teenagers when the series started.   But the "Frankie Says Relax" craze was going around when I was in 4th/5th grade back in the mid 80s.  So now they deaged and they are 27 like me?

Do those characters ever get older?

Hey I have a t-shirt that says Frankie Says Relax and I love it.  I had it made in the t-shirt store at the mall.  Since it isn't the 80's anymore everyone thinks I am weird cuz I wear it but I do not care one bit! :D ;D

Rachel and Ross must like torturing each other. They always hid their true feelings. It is almost like they have more pleasure because of the pain.

Anyways,

The song was about not cumming and holding it in a bit longer so it is better when you finally cum. Listen to the lyrics:

Relax,
Don't do it,
When you want to suck it to her,
Relax,
Don't do it,
When you want to come.

Last I heard he had aids, and was sick. Too bad, I liked them

They are supposed to be late 20's early 30's.

I had a Choose Life shirt when I was little that I slept in. It was just plain white and said "Choose Life" in big Black letters. I never knew what it was from though. I just assumed it was a pro-life thing.

OMG, has anyone seen the movie with Christina Applegate and Cameron Diaz....The Sweetest Thing. Well, if you havent let me explain. Selma Blair is also in this movie and they are all roommates. Well Christina and Cameron come home one day to find Selma's character in a compromising position. She was apparently pleasing her man orally and her throat muscles contracted and he got stuck..(dont know if that can even happen) so They tell her to try to sing because it will relax her throat muscles so they start singing "relax, dont do it....etc, etc" and the guy says something of the lines of "please stop, its turning me on more and its going to be an even tighter sqeeze here in a minute"  Anyways...some might find that offensive, I thought it was funny...if you havent seen the movie and arent easily offended you should see it soon!

I saw the movie and thought it was hallarious. Poor girl, it is good he did "relaxed" and "did't do it." Poor thing probably would have choked. It was a very funny movie.

Relax:  My first "controversial" t shirt that I wore in the 80's said "I dont give a F**K what Frankie says".  Only there were no stars - it was the whole word - very contro for a teen lass :)

Friends:  In Season 1 Monica refers to herself several times as being 26.  She and Rachel were in the same class at school.  Ross was a year or 2 older.  And yes to the question did they get older !  Unlike The Simpsons !!!  They celebrated birthdays every year - including several traumatic 30ths !!
