Subject: The A-Team or MacGyver?

Written By: NitroOFR on 02/15/03 at 04:26 a.m.

Which do you prefer The A-Team or MacGyver? I prefer MacGyver. I think it had more maturity, but it still had some humor in it. Also I think it was better written with stronger plots.

I'll take the A Team for no particular reason  :P

MacGyver cause he could make a weapon/bomb out of anything!  You give him two sticks & he shoe & he could make something blow-up!  :D

WHY!?

WHY must you make me CHOOSE!?  *Growling*

*whimperings of a broken man*

I like them both.  I'll watch either, and if need be I'll flip back and forth so fast it'll be like I'm seeing in stereo ;D

MacGyver.  "I pity da fool" who thinks otherwise  :D Richard Dean Anderson still has some shaded humour in Stargate SG-1.

I'm with Rice Cube. I really enjoyed them both. The A Team had a more comic edge to it, but MacGyver was the one who could really get things done in a pinch! :)

I liked both. MacGyver had better written episodes, but if I was in a dogfight I would take the A-Team.

It was always the A Team for me - right from ep 1.

I was head over heels in love with Face (and was still in love with his previous incarnation Starbuck !!) and his corvette.

I loved the dry wit and sarcasm as it was something rarely seen in US TV after MASH ended.

I loved the car chases and the car flips !

I loved that no one ever really got hurt or died.

I loved the music and I still have my soundtrack.

I love my huge collection of Beta tapes filled with every single episode ever filmed.  I still drag them out and watch them to this day.  I wish they would release it on DVD so I could stop having to pay a fortune to service my old Beta VCR.

I loved it when a plan came together - sigh.

I thought Dwight Shultz, aka Merdock, was the better looking of the group. I wanted to be like him as a kid. Merdock is the one who could fly planes, and he never backed down from a fight. Face was too much of a player (I did not like how he took advantage of women by deception). I would never trust him. Hannibal had the brains and B.A. had the muscle.

I liked Face better when he was on Battlestar Gallactica.

Did Mr. T come down with some kind of illness a few years back? I thought I heard something about that.

MacGyver for me too.  I thought he was hot when he was Rick Webber on General Hospital.

Mr. T had, ironically, T cell lymphoma.  He's since beaten it and is a regular on Conan and commercials.

The A-Team, they had a comic edge to them and a far superior theme song to go out and kick a**....

MacGyver all the way.  A-team seemed too much like too many other shows and movies of the era.  Seemed like all the other guys liked A-team.  MacGyver seemed more like a show for the nerds like I was.

The A-Team was one of THE coolest shows ever!  I loved the beginning each week, when they would always have to get Murdock out of the mental hospital.  I LOVED that show.

I'll pick MacGYVER I was actually interested in Physics because of of the cool stuff he did.I loved the A-Team too but it was the same plot every week. They would rescue poor defenseless people from some villian bullies then the villaians would capture them and put them in a warehouse equipped with all the materials they needed to make a weapon ironically. The would bust out defeat the baddies and save the day.

Heh, ever notice that people in need could find them (the A-Team) but the government couldn't??   ;)  MacGyver fought back with brains... although he could stretch the imagination at times.. but what the hell, eh.  Of course, I also liked "The Equalizer"... now that was cool.

You women and your hormones ::)

Was he as adept at comic timing as the A-Team?  Could he fire an AK-47 and not hit anybody?  Could he escape from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground?  :D

;)

I liked them both. I'll go with MacGyver, if simply because he was one man.
