1980 - Crazy Little Thing Called Love - Queen
This wasn't my favorite song of theirs, but I owned The Game and loved most of the songs on it

1981 - I Love A Rainy Night - Eddie Rabbitt
I remember being crazy about this song.  Altho it embarasses me a bit now, I'll still sing along with it if I happen to hear it.

1982 - Centerfold - J. Geils Band
VERY addictive song, I always thought.  One of my friends in jr. high was named Angel, so we all got a laugh out of it.

1983 - Billie Jean - Michael Jackson
I suppose I liked it at first, but I break out into hives if I see this video today.

1984 - Jump - Van Halen
Good song -- Van Halen had some great stuff, but I'm a bigger fan of Van Hagar personally.

1985 - Can't Fight This Feeling - REO Speedwagon
Good song, but was run into the ground.  I love REO tho, I've seen them live several times

1986 - Sara - Starship
I always thought this song had something haunting about it...always made me kinda sad, but I liked it

1987 - Jacob's Ladder - Huey Lewis & The News
I got so SICK of Huey, but this was one of their best songs

1988 - Never Gonna Give You Up - Rick Astley
I guess for 'pure pop', this song was ok, but I never much cared for Rick Astley

1989 - Lost In Your Eyes - Debbie Gibson
I dont know very many females who were teenagers at the time who couldnt identify with this one somehow.  I did anyways :)

I couldn't agree more about it being addictive!  It's one of those songs that I never get tired of...

I also thought that this wasn't one of their better efforts.  Most of their other songs were so much better!

You lucky duck for getting to see them in concert! :( I'd die to see a good group perform!

All of those songs bring back a memory or two (or three): some good, some bad! :)

1980 - Crazy Little Thing Called Love - Queen

A tight, jazzy little number that I never truly appreciated until years after it's release.  One of my faves from Queen.

1981 - I Love A Rainy Night - Eddie Rabbitt

Remember the song, not a fan of Eddie Rabbitt.  Reminds me of living in southern Illinois.  Yup.  Eddie Rabbitt.  Big in So. Ill.  Really big...

1982 - Centerfold - J. Geils Band

Reminds me of my girlfriend and I smooching in the back of the bus on the way home from the away game...always liked away games...

1983 - Billie Jean - Michael Jackson

  Funky, funky, funky...

1984 - Jump - Van Halen

As much as I dig Van Halen, I always thought this song was overrated.

1985 - Can't Fight This Feeling - REO Speedwagon

Nice love song, but I'm not picking-up any vibes...

1986 - Sara - Starship

  Another nice love song.

1987 - Jacob's Ladder - Huey Lewis & The News

Dang!  To tell the truth, I can't remember how this song goes... :-1988 - Never Gonna Give You Up - Rick Astley

  Never cared for it.

1989 - Lost In Your Eyes - Debbie Gibson

Nice love song...hmm, I could've swore I downloaded that one awhile back...

I was always surprised that this song had made it to #1 instead of his other, more popular songs! I can understand you not remembering it, Dave.  Sometimes I also have trouble with it. ;)
