Subject: Poster Trivia - Need Help!

Written By: Lsh1482PA on 04/14/03 at 10:39 a.m.

A local radio station runs a "five-question quiz" every week day morning.  If all five questions are not answered correctly, the pot increases $5/day until all questions are answered correctly.  The pot starts at $100 and currently is over $600.  One question has not been answered correctly since the beginning in December 2002, here it is:

Who or what is featured on the number one selling poster of all time in the U.S.?

Some of the answers given were wrong; Farrah Fawcett, Marilyn Monroe, smiley face, Uncle Sam - I Want You, Twin Towers, Say NO to Drugs, Poker Dogs, For Sale, etc.  Here are some comments the DJ made:  "Boy, you guys are going to kick yourself when you hear the answer" and "When you hear the answer you're not going to believe me, but it's true".  I heard a hint that it is from the early 1980s and that it fits both the "who" and "what" portion of the question.

I remember reading once that a poster of Heather Locklear (or possibly Heather Thomas) in a red bikini outsold Farrahs famous poster.  Could it be one of the Heathers ?

cs was correct!  Finally the trivia question was answered correctly this morning.  The individual won $715 for answering E.T.  That individual was not me.  It was hard enough to get through to be the 25th caller.  Thanks for helping me.
