Subject: has anyone else noticed this?

I find with a lot of the popular hits of the eighties, the song is unrecogniseable until it hits the chorus. IF its played in a night club everybody mumbles along with the versus then goes wild at the chorus while thinking, oh, THIS song, now i know it.....

I think ANY song, be it from the 80's, 90's, 70's or whatever, is recognisable at the chorus by people who are not familiar with the song. I, however, recognise a lot of my favourite songs from the moment they start. :)

Heheh! I remember when I first heard Billy Idol's "Mony Mony" played in the bar.  Right after the title verse everyone in the building screamed out "HEY EVERYBODY! GET LA!D! GET F**CKED!"   ;D

But seriously, how could anyone hear the lyrics when you had over-kill subwoofers and music blaring at 100+ db all the while you were shouting into, or being shouted into, the ear of some other drunk while you were putting the moves on that soon to be drunk blonde sitting next to you.  ;)

Hey Squirrel, I know another song ppl do that with- Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again by The Angels. The audience say something in between chorus verses too but I am not going to say it here.  ;) The Aussies in the house might be able to tell you about it. ;D
