Subject: Help me find song

Written By: Patrick on 04/18/03 at 05:53 p.m.

Okay…
I remember a song from when I was a kid that I’m desperately trying to find.
I don’t recall the name of the group or the name of the song itself, but I do remember the music video. I think it’s from the late 80’s. It’s computer animated and shows two mechanics or something, one fat and one thin, moving stuff around. The graphics are real bad and the two guys pretty much look like a bunch of boxes moving around. There’s also a dog or something. I also think that at one point you see the band members playing on a dark background and they have glowing halos on their heads.  It’s all pretty fuzzy to me because it’s like ten or twelve years ago I last saw it.
Some of the lyrics from the chorus go something like: “we gotta’ move these refrigerators and colour tv’s…” It starts with a real cool guitar that pretty much keeps on going throughout the whole song. The sound and style is kind of electric.
I know all this sounds like a bunch of nonsense, but if anyone knows what I’m talking about, or just has an idea, please write my Email. I would really really appreciate it!

Pretty simple, really.  That's "Money for Nothing" by Dire Straits.  Loved the part where the skinny guy's head gets frozen!

Yeah, funny to think that now. I saw an interview with Mark Knopfler about that video and he said that it was horribly expensive and that they had to cap the limit on spending.  He refused to say how much but he did roll his eyes during the interview.. heheh.  :)
