Subject: Danny Lloyd (The Shining)
Someone was asking about Danny Lloyd, whom we all remember from Stanley Kubrick's "The Shining". Well, he was only in one other movie after that ("Will: The G. Gordon Liddy Story"), and apparently just wanted to be a normal kid and gave up acting altogether. A shame, as we never got to see what kind of acting talent he might have cultivated over the years, but admirable as well, since he didn't end up like Corey Feldman, Corey Haim, or Scotty Schwartz. He became a schoolteacher (sound familiar?), and is teaching biology in a college in Kentucky. Here's a recent picture of him:

I was thinking of him screaming Redrum, redrum, redrum while reading this thread! Good to know he didn't suffer the fate of many of his child-actor contemporaries. :)

There were two movies. One with Jack Nickelson and the other with the guy from Wings (going blank right now). Ok, I'm going to brag, I know someone who was in the later one. ;D

The other one had Steven Weber and Rebecca Demornay. It is the one that Stephen King wrote the script for so it followed the story a lot better.
Who did you know that was in it?

For me it was the blood coming out of the elevator...then there were all the bar scenes with the freaky music. The music from the 20's and 30's still gives me the shivers.
