Subject: 80's nylon duffle bags

Written By: carrilynn on 05/31/03 at 00:19 a.m.

Oy, I'm just about ready to give up. PLEASE let there be someone out there who can help me!!

Remember those nylon duffle bags/purses with unicorns and rainbows on them? There were clutches as well, same material, same graphics. Around this time those cheapie velcro wallets were also very popular.  I have been searching for any one of these items for years. Have never seen any on eBay. Not even quite sure what to call them. Anyone have any leads? Any for sale? Know where there are any pics on the net? Do you even know what I'm talking about ?! LOL

:DThe purses were often called Parachute bags. They kind of got runs easily.I think they still make cheapie velcro wallets. You might want to try Oriental Trading Company, flea markets,or the dime stores in parts of town that are heavily Asian or Mexican.Cheeers!

Hi... I'm new here.  Just was checking around and reading some posts and saw yours.  I know just what you are looking for.  I still have my original duffle bag from the 80's.  It is a small purple one with white straps and a unicorn on the front.  I can send you a pic if you need one to show others what u are looking for.  Just let me know.  Good luck!
